Sometimes I will stumble across a picture frame in a charity shop or antique store, and think “this needs eyes”. It’s an erratic process. Months might go past without seeing a picture frame that needs eyeballs, and then I might find several in a week. It can be a difficult task. Morally taxing. It doesn’t always feel nice, prying a gentle country watercolour or a photo of grandma out of a frame, and putting eyeballs in, but some one has got to do it.
I have called this one “Peek”.
Materials: upcycled picture frame, felt, acrylic eyes.
